Ehsan Arabnejad has received his B.Sc. in electrical engineering (electronic) in 2003 and M.Sc. in electrical engineering (communication) in 2009 . Ehsan has joined Synchromedia Team since September 2010 and he is working on Document Image categorization.
Youssouf Chherawala received his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the École de Technologie Supérieure (University of Québec), in 2007, and his Ph.D from the same university in 2013. Currently, he is a postdoctoral fellow at the Synchromedia Laboratory for Multimedia Communication in Telepresence. His research interests include pattern recognition, shape analysis and handwriting recognition.
Rachid Hedjam received his M.Sc. (Computer Science and Operations Research) from the University of Montreal in 2009. He then joined the “Synchromedia laboratory for multimedia communication in telepresence” at École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS, university of Quebec), and obtained his Ph.D. with highest honors in 2013 under the supervision of the Professor Mohamed Cheriet. R. Hedjam was awarded by FQRNT and ÉTS doctoral scholarships. He has received numerous academic awards during his doctoral studies. R. Hedjam is now a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Geography at McGill University, where he is working on multispectral image processing and pattern recognition for cultural heritage preservation, forensic applications and remote sensing. He is also a member of Synchromedia laboratory.
Corina MacDonald is an information specialist and a founding member of Mat3rial, a small web development and design team in Montreal. She completed her Masters degree in Library and Information Studies in 2008 and has worked on many digital projects with museums, libraries and artist-run centres since then. Her interests include the role of open content, technologies and standards in community and capacity building, electronic publishing and digital heritage.
Hossein Ziaei Nafchi
Hossein Ziaei Nafchi received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer engineering from Azad University. He was accepted in 2009 Master exam of Azad University with the first rank. He is a Ph.D. student at Synchromedia Laboratory for Multimedia Communication in Telepresence, École de Technologie Supérieure (University of Quebec), Montreal (QC), Canada. His research interests include low-level vision and document image processing.
Mingli Zhang received her bachelor degree in electronic and information engineering in 2009 from Naval Aeronautical Engineering Academy (NAEA) in China. She received the M.Sc. (Image Waternarking) form Dalian University (China) in 2012. Currently, she is member of Synchromedia Laboratory where she follows her PhD. research in document image processing under the supervision of the professor Mohamed Cheriet. The goal of her research is to improve and enhance the quality of the document images. Before this, she worked as a Software engineer at Alcatel-Lucent, China, from May,2012 to March 2013.
